Join
us in Jerusalem Marketplace and walk with Jesus, eat exotic foods, camp
with the tribes of Israel and learn Hebrew.
Become
part of living history as a tribe leader, shopkeeper, village playground
leader and more.
We
need people who are gifted in sewing, carpentry, pottery, weaving and
other crafts.
When
the temperature rises, come, load up your camel and let us be your
oasis.

Nursery
- The
North Shore nursery is open to children ages Infant-5 years old.
We offer quality care for young children while their parents
participate in our church's worship services and Adventures in
Learning. Parents are also welcome to keep children in worship
with them if they prefer. The people chosen to look after your
child provide loving and understanding care in a special space
prepared for very young children. For more detailed information,

A Special Place
-
A Special Place is an After-School Program
Ministry of North Shore Baptist Church. In its fifth year, our focus
is providing homework assistance to first through sixth graders
throughout the Chicago Public School year. For more information, click

Youth Group -
North
Shore
’s
ministry with middle and high school age teens currently focuses on
their creative and lively Sunday morning classes.
The high school group recently explored Christian character
traits using the novel “Life of Pi”, and journaled their
reflections on the psalms.
North
Shore
’s teens also have active roles in the church’s language groups,
travel on church mission trips, and in other ways are an integral part
of the congregation. They
occasionally get together for fun or service activities.
A Joyful Noise (Children's Choir)
- A Joyful Noise is
our children’s choir at
North
Shore
. Our rehearsal time is
conveniently placed on Sunday morning following the Adventures in
Learning hour. The
children in the choir range in age form 4- 12.
We offer music several times a year at special services and
programs. All children are
welcome and encouraged to join us. For more information, contact

Kid's Hope
United - North Shore supplies space for Kid's Hope United to
provide childcare for children. For more information, contact

North Shore Trekkers
is a program of the Educational
Ministry of North Shore Baptist Church that seeks to provide
relationship building opportunities in a variety of activities for
families with children age 0-18 years. Events will range from
the purely fun to more mission-minded outreach to our surrounding
community.
Adventures in Learning Classes
(for children and youth) - We were very excited this year to
introduce a new curriculum for our children's classes called
"LIVE BIG: Hear, See, and Live Your Belief In God".
This thoroughly modern, up-to-date curriculum combines DVD segments
with exciting and varied activities to teach the bible and make faith
real in our children's lives. There are 3 classes for the
different age groups:

Big Fun for 4, 5 and 6 year olds

The Big Room for 2nd-5th grades
*
The Big Idea for 6th-8th grades
*
Youth Class for 9th-12th graders
